10:00-11:00 Climate Rights/INTERPRT Seminar — with Nabil Ahmed and Ravi Agarwal
11:00-16:00 Climate Rights Seminar
Across the world, civil society is turning to legal frameworks to defend territories, safeguard Indigenous and local knowledge, and demand urgent climate action—even as powerful states and corporations push back. Against this background, Climate Rights seeks to reframe climate litigation beyond conventional human rights and jurisdictional frameworks.
This seminar unpacks two joint investigations by Climate Rights and INTERPRT—in Øyfjellet, South Sápmi and in Veraibari, Papua New Guinea—which draw on visual and spatial practices along various knowledges to question what constitutes evidence in emerging struggles for climate justice and land rights.
The seminar will be open to the public, and visitors are welcome to drop by and listen.
The seminar is organized by the Climate Rights project in collaboration with Bergen Assembly.
