‘The Joik of the Wolf: A Cross-Course
Trace by Katarina Dorothea Isaksen’

Friday,10.10,
13:30

As part of its Trajectories programme, Bergen School of Architecture (BAS) invites you to Bergen Assembly’s Open Office at 13:30 to join the retelling of an old Sámi story and joik, changing the tragic ending into an act of hope.

Inspired by convenor Ravi Agarwal's Cross Course ‘Shifting Centres, Traversing Worlds’, the tracer for the course, Katarina Dorothea Isaksen, honours the joik of the wolf, a traditional northern sámi joik connected to the story of a stalking and ever-hungry wolf.

The event is multilingual and includes Norwegian, English, and Sámi. This event will take place both in Bergen Assembly Open Office and on radio.
