Drop-in workshop for kids: Let’s build a city!

Saturday, 26.October,
12:00-14:00
Hallen, USF Verftet

Join us for a drop-in workshop this autumn holiday in Hallen, USF! Throughout October, the huge hall is transformed into a cardboard city that we build together. What does a city need to be a good place to live? Who lives in it?

Children are invited to consider these questions by creating both small and large buildings and inhabitants, exploring and inventing their own stories and ideas about the city. During weekdays, schools visit through DKS and continue developing the city.

Each Sunday brings new tasks and projects, so the city grows as the weeks pass (the workshops are held on 12, 19, and 26 October from 12:00 to 14:00).

This Sunday we are teaming up with Family Day at USF, also taking place at USF Verftet this Sunday. In addition to Build our City!, this day features art activities, games, “pony” rides, giant LEGO, and more.

Read more about Family Day at USF here.

At 12:00 and 13:00 we invite you to storytelling sessions with our mediators, who will provide imaginative and exciting context for the workshop.

We encourage you to take part in the storytelling if it fits your schedule.

Please note: Hallen is cold, so remember to dress warmly. We’ll serve hot drinks and something sweet to eat.

Recommended for children aged 5–10, but everyone is welcome!
