Join us on the evening of Thursday 11 September for the Opening Party of across, with, nearby, the fifth edition of Bergen Assembly 🪩✨
The first day of our four-day Opening Programme draws to a close at ROMMET and the Litterature Boat Epos, docked close by. Much like across, with, nearby as a whole, our programme is experiential: it unfolds across waters, schools, libraries, exhibition spaces, and airwaves, and through practices of sharing rather than showing.
From 19:00, the food collective Vi koker opp will be launching their new culinary collaboration, serving Bosnian, Palestinian, and Tamil street food. Architect Espen Folgerø will also introduce audiences to the Bergen School of Architecture’s Open Form and theBAS Trajectories that will unfold throughout the assembly period.
From 20:00 to 01:00 the musical stylings of DJ’s Håkon Blom, Maddemoiselle and Ghanamannen will have you gathering onto the dancefloor well into the night. Music is complemented by the sound of waves aboard the Literature Boat Epos.
Later in the evening, at 22:00, you can also experience the inaugural transmission of Karen Werner's Night Air during a shared listening session. Night Air is a 60-night-long radio project where a lullaby, shared between strangers.
We look forward to seeing you and celebrate across, with, nearby together ❤️
