MLAG (Mikey Laundry Art Garden)

Located next door to Bergen Assembly’s Open Office, MLAG (Mikey Laundry Art Garden) is a non-profit, artist-run space rooted in hospitality and experimentation. Founded in 2019, and now based at Halfdan Kjerulfs gate 4, MLAG supports local and international artists through a programme of exhibitions, residencies, and readings — often engaging with questions of ecology, technology, and cultural infrastructures.

As part of across, with, nearby, MLAG hosts one half of On the Frontlines of Climate Justice, an installation by INTERPRT and the Climate Rights project. In contrast to the public interface of its companion at Bergen Public Library, this presentation provides a slower, more intimate setting for extended viewing and reflection. It invites visitors to consider the intersections of artistic research, legal practice, and environmental struggle.

Accessibility

The venue has an entrance at street level, but has a small step up to the floor. Accessible by wheelchair with a little assistance.
